These sterling silver threader earrings combine a fine chain with a simple twisted silver drop, creating an elegant sense of movement as they're worn.
I make the twisted section from 2mm square sterling silver wire. As the wire is twisted, its flat surfaces turn at different angles, catching and reflecting the light along the length of the silver.
The design began with a twisted silver bangle and grew into a small collection of coordinating pieces. I particularly liked the way the twist brought an otherwise simple piece of silver to life, so I carried the same detail through into these threader earrings.
Lightweight and easy to wear, they're individually handmade in my Leicestershire studio and form part of my Twisted collection.
